Consultations are part of the legislative process at UZH. They enable the faculties, the representative bodies, the responsible commissions and other interested offices or people to comment on the planned changes to university law. In this way, the relevant stakeholder groups can be involved in the process of forming opinions and reaching decisions early on.
The Guidelines on Conducting Consultations in the Legislative Process at the University of Zurich (Consultation Guidelines) contain the criteria for decisions on conducting consultations, define the responsibilities during the consultation process and govern the manner in which this process is carried out. The corresponding principles were adopted on 19 October 2021 by the Executive Board of the University. They are being applied as part of a two-year trial period.
